About Me
Genevieve Teasley was born in Youngstown, Ohio and soon after moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she was raised. Clearly the hot weather was too much and she moved back to the east coast for college in Philadelphia. Genevieve has always had an appreciation for fashion and learned how to sew from her grandmother (there wasn’t much entertainment at her grandmother's house). But her enthusiasm for costume design stemmed from the first performance she saw at a theater, The Lion King. Inspired by the designs, Genevieve pursued her education at University of The Arts. There she was able to learn the basics of design and building technique. Unfortunately, due to the school's unlikely closure she switched gears and continued her training at Temple University. Genevieve spent a majority of her youth doodling in the margins of her homework. Now she can see her designs come to life as they walk across a real stage.
